I was gifted a sample last year (?).

It's nummy.. Very natural. Judging by what I see you post regarding your preferred blends, you will most likely want more!

I donít think Iíve ever seen a negative review on it.

Think Burley with a little bit of VA...nutty, earthy, rum-ish, cocoa, molasses, notes of spice & floral goodness. With 7 different tobaccos thereís gonna be some interesting somethiní goiní on in your bowl. I donít think aging will do amazing things to it. Hey, itís Burley. Go ahead and smoke it now while the deftly added bouquet is at its best. Like Ramsgate and even Stonehaven, I like this as fresh as I can get it. But then, it never seems to last very long anyway. Heh, heh.

Don't remember me giving a review on Peretti's Thanksgiving Day. I believe I compared it to Peretti's DD with fruit juice added. As I was told from a doctor friend. Many years ago I had a bowl with my friend once a few years back but I really don't remember exactly how good it was. I do enjoy Peretti's DD !!

Hmmm. This is what you posted on Nov 1st which sounded like you remembered it pretty darn well.

Text below:

Just my opinion: Peretti's Thanksgiving cake has a very similar smoke and taste as Peretti's DD. SO THE THANKSGIVING CAKE looks like a pressed version of Peretti's DD.

And...

BH, for me the similarities in taste, smoke and smoothness are very similar. I'm not the only pipe smoker that feels the same. It's pressed DD with more added juice toppings.

BH, yup that I remember posting. That's all I remembered about Thanksgiving Day blend... that it reminded me of DD with added juice of some sort. I never purchased myself a cake of it but I do remember having a bowl with a friend and told him"""looks like pressed DD with juice added...that I did say and remember that pretty darn well.

I stated..... † Never have had the pleasure prior! † Meaning purchasing an entire cake. Let alone two. Just wanted other opinions overall. †

ONLY REASON I DECIDED TO PURCHASE THE BLEND THIS YEAR IS I WANTED TO TREAT MYSELF TO SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR THANKSGIVING.....SINCE I WILL BE SPENDING IT BY MYSELF!!! CONSIDER IT MY TURKEY WITH STUFFING AND GRAVY.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

This is one of two annual blends for me. The other being Christmas Cheer, and we all know what happened with Christmas Cheer. Sad

I hope Peretti's will be around for many years to come. Uhle's too...

Hanukkah Cheer cheers Laughing I like it. BTW, I wasn't hinting for some aged CC. Laughing I guess it did sort of sound that way. I still have an unopened 2017, but I'm trying to cellar it for another four years or so. If I don't score some older stuff before then I'll just pop that tin though.

Well, not to get back on topic, but I went ahead and splurged on a brick this year... Blackhorse is probably on to something saying it would be better fresh, as time avails Burley naught....
