Well, I'm trying to stay with you folks, and enjoy the rest of the day. Due to the Thanksgiving 'feast' served up by the grandkids, my blood sugar levels are waay out.

The grandkids, you ask?

Yuppers. The Taters created a Thanksgiving feast of:

3 dozen (all) the eggs from the chickens, including nests... Scrambled. To death.

All of the sliced bread, toasted from 'well done' to 'rare'. Most were Cajun style (blackened, with garlic salt and Tobasco sauce). Never tried that before.............

SOMEONE found my Belgian waffle iron. It does two at a time. We had about fifteen of those ready when I caught them.......

Five pounds of bacon. Variously cooked, or otherwise.

A bucket of maple syrup. Five gallons total. I have no idea where it came from. "Part of the surprise, Grandpa!" It seemed sealed when I saw it. (meh)(Shrug)

I think they found all the butter everywhere. Gotta have butter!

So. With a half dozen eggs, a loaf of Cajun toast, a stack of waffles bigger then my head, a pound of bacon, four sticks of butter, and a gallon of syrup to wash it down, I'm done....

They want a campfire and S'mores, and a camping story about Bigfoot. I want a nap........

What's this?

(I don't recall signing up for life insurance there..)

I know!

Even with two of the parents in there with them the kitchen is destroyed! My own children, laughing like two drunk college girls...

Well, one of them actually is. Going to college, I mean.

It'll seem REALLY quiet when they leave!

Somehow, having to grade 92 poorly written papers doesn't seem so bad....

Yeah. True.

Ya know, when theyíre there and itís really quiet...
THATíS when you should be the most worried.
Itís like the forest or maybe the jungle...
quiet is bad.
