Yuppers. At some point today it was brought to my attention that there was no water. Sure enough, with all the laundry, baths and showers, dishes and whatever, the well was brought to it's knees. I had to go to the well house and shut it down and reset the system. I guess there's a first time for everything.... Tomorrow the population will be reduced to two. Soon after, back to one.

No doubt, what with all the demand on it through the sudden influx of all and sundry and what that means. Hope the well recovers in short order.

No doubt you're relived that the population of OZ land will be reduced to it's former constituents.

Cheers,

RR

I was told that outside a well has a tank that holds 50 or so gallons if you run it dry it will fill back up and pressurize it's self, but that takes a while.

Yuppers, that was the issue. The cistern was pumped dry, and the recovery system couldn't keep up with the draw. I don't just drink out of the spring Arky. Common sense says to treat your drinking water at least a little, or you can get sick. I also like to filter out some of the minerals so fittings, shut offs and appliances don't get calcified. It gets expensive replacing them or repairing them when the get gucked up.
