Back in the mid-70s I was on Aeroflot and the door flopped open in flight! It was a little puddle jumper and we were below pressurization altitude, but I was across the isle from it and it scared the hell out of me. The "stewardess" (who looked like she could have held off a Nazi tank battalion at the siege of Stalingrad with a crow bar and her face!) barked something to the pilot, he dropped the speed, she braced herself, reached out, and slammed it shut, and the flight went on as if nothing had happened.
