Rattray's Sir William Empty
PostSubject: Rattray's Sir William   Rattray's Sir William EmptyTue Oct 16, 2018 9:41 am

I've been enjoying this tobacco over the last few weeks-which is nothing more than Peterson's Irish Whisky under a different name.
One thing has struck me since yesterday, concerning the tin aroma and its taste when I'm smoking it. Even though the topping is whisky (with something else, but I'm not quite sure what it is) and there is a fair proportion of burleys, I cannot help but compare it, somehow, to Dunhill's Royal Yacht.
Has anyone else who tried it experienced a similar impression?

I've never tried it, but I have tried Royal Yuk.  So, I guess I'll pass on this one! affraid

Although, since it has burley in it, I might have to give it a try!

I think that what I was trying to say is there could be, besides the whisky, a plum topping as well. It's at that level that Sir William reminds me of RY.
It's a really good tobacco, in a nutshell. Very Happy
