PostSubject: A Generous Gift   Sat Jan 24, 2009 12:10 am

My g'friend's cousin is just about to open a large cigar lounge and shop here in my hometown of Agawam,Ma. Being that smoking is of high intrest to me my g'friend and I went over there tonight to tour the shop and see it's progress. The shop is amazing! There's several flatscreen tvs, MANY large leather sofas, lockers for rent and a private room which is open for members to join. It even has it's own door around back so the members can come and go as they please.

We were there a while talking about the place when a woman and her husband came in. She was the previous owner of her own shop and lounge that she had inherited from a family member. Sadly, the place had burned to the ground during the middle of last year. My g'friend's cousin had told her that I was a pipesmoker before she arrived. When she came in she immediately reached into her purse and pulled out four unsmoked Savinelli pipes. One was a huge sandblasted Sav Nonperiel. I was knocked stupid when she said that it was mine and said that I should smoke it in good health. She claimed that the pipes and a table lighter were the only things she was able to grab as she ran from the burning building!

Amazing! Just amazing!

You have a charmed life, sir.

(You're from Agawam? Many's the summer day I spent at Riverside, eating greasy food and then getting sick on the rides. I was a slow learner.)

Doc! No way! Someone else who remembers Riverside! Too cool! So you're originally from this area? Connecticut?

I'm from the New Haven area... You were lucky if Mom & Dad took you to Riverside--otherwise, it was Lake Compounce or Quassy, which were closer but bummy.

I actually bought two brand-new Riverside uniform shirts I found at a Salvation Army shortly after they became a Six Flags... wish I knew where they were now. Probably in my folks' attic in a contractor bag.
