The most trusted man in America died today at 92.

I think this says it nicely: Walter Cronkite was the news. He will be missed.

And that's the way it is.

Without a doubt one of the most trusted of the newsmen we now longer have.

RIP Walter

We need more news anchors like him today. A great one has passed on to a better life. A pipe in his honor.

Sad Day indeed. As I listen to reports of Walter Cronkite's death and hear that "voice " again I'm immediately transported to my childhood and growing up in the 60's.

Walter Cronkite , American Icon....

I count myself most fortunate to have experienced the likes of Edward R. Murrow, Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, and Walter Cronkite (amongst others). An era never to be seen again. RIP. FTRPLT

He was the most integris newsman of the modern era! I was very fond of his shows 20th and 21st Century. Hopefully someone else as integris will come along some day!

Good Bye Uncle Walter. Sad
I grew up watching him on the evening news.

He was definitely one of a kind. An old school, get the facts straight, reporter.

And, he was a pipe smoker.
