PostSubject: Poor Bill   Wed Mar 03, 2010 1:19 pm

Bill was hiking in the mountains and got lost. As the sun was setting he came upon an old rundown shack with smoke wafting from the chimney. Knocking on the door, a withered old mountain man invited him inside and listened to his story. Assuring Bill he would set him on the right course in the morning, the old man showed Bill a bunk and prepared dinner on the wood stove. As the old man placed the dinner in front of him, Bill noticed the plate was filthy with crusty food remains around the edges. Jokingly Bill commented on this and the oldtimer told him "It's as clean as cold water will get it" Finishing the meal Bill turned in and in the morning was rousted out of bed by the smell of bacon and fresh coffee. Sitting at the table he was served a breakfast fit for a king, but noticed the plate, again, was less than clean, but said nothing for fear of offending his host. Given instructions to find his way back to civilization, Bill thanked the old man and turned to leave. Opening the door a growling dog blocked his path out of the shack, barking and snapping at him. The old man hollered out "Cold Water, go lay down and let him pass".
