Just had to share this.

I sent a Zippo back to them a few weeks ago. The lid broke off. It was probably my fault but I figured I would give there guarantee a try. Besides tha broken lid, the pipe lighter attachment had fallen off and the pipe insignia on the outside had disappeared. They sent me a letter a form letter acknowledging receipt that said it would be 4-6 weeks for repairs. That was about 10 days ago.

Today I went to the mailbox and found a padded envelope from Zippo. 4 weeks before I expected it! They explicitly say they can't always replace specialty insignia. They did better than that. They replaced the entire lighter. I now have a beautiful new Zippo pipe lighter in the brushed finish with the black pipe on it and enjoyed using it to light the bowl of Samuel Gawith Commonwealth I am enjoying in a well seasoned Dr. Grabow half bend Big Pipe.

Under Promise and Over Deliver! More businesses could learn from them!

That's not the first good service story I've heard about Zippo. They must be doing something right to be in business all these years.

It's always heartwarming to hear about companies that actually care about customer service/satisfaction with their products... cheers!
