Some of you will appreciate this. Today while picking cars up at an auto auction a fellow tow truck driver hit my rig doing a few hundred dollars worth of damage to the rear of it. When I got back to the lot I called my insurance company to inform them of the mishap. While talking to the woman handling my claim I hear a big *CRASH* outside my door. Going out I see that a woman hit the front bumper of my rig! Yep. While making my first claim another incident had occured!

What the hell are the odds of this? Anyway, she refused to give me her name or phone number and drove off. Luckily I got her plate number and the woman handling my first claim heard her refuse to give me the info too! The police were called and a second claim was made with my company. Hopefully they'll pick her up for leaving the scene of an accident. Friggin witch! Rolling Eyes

What a $%^&*# up day eh?...

Hit and run is a felony isn't it? Next phone call should be to your attorney. The police might be busy, but they better not be too busy to handle a felony. You have a hit and run with plates and a witness, I'd be raising some major noise right now.

Harsh day, Dock. Tomorrow will be better.

Did this woman think that someone *with his own towing rig at an car auction* might not be the person to piss off on matters automotive?

Man that is some bad luck and a rotten B gives you attitude on top of it. Go home and relax with a bowl in your favorite pipe but be wary Doc, bad things happen in 3's. Wouldn't want a broken stem or burn out as a night cap to the day. Laughing

I don't know if I should say that is interesting or just a bad day for you Dock. Hopefully you will get your rig fixed without any heartburn!

With all that jammed into one day you should now have a long dry spell highlighted by boredom and monotony,,,,,here's hoping the third of the triad involves nothing more than finding a gray hair,,,,

In most states hit and run is a misdemeanor unless there are injuries, then it is a felony. In NC it is. When I was a cop it was always fun investigating them, especially when you matched the damage, and the other driver could come to the scene and ID the culprit. Never lost a case. Insurance goes out the roof if not outright termed for the bad guy, too.

Hope they catch your lady soon, DPG. Mad

Sucks, but you might be surprised to find out just how likely you are to be involved in some sort of accident or other on any given day. Especially in any sort of commercial/business vehicle.

I'm in insurance...depending on which company we might see the estimate for your claim. If we do get it I will tell the auditors to go easy on you guys Wink
