Last one I watched was 'Old Dogs'.
Mista Cawtaaa's sidekick and Mork...

2 thumbs up comedy... Even the Family Values motiff didn't muck up the chuckles.

I made my wife watch Killer Clowns from Outer Space and Howard The Duck a while ago...two innarguably classic movies that she had not seen before.

She countered with perhaps the worst cinematic experience I have ever...experienced; an abba song based musical called mamma mia. I tell you it is uber bad. I would rather be water boarded than sit through that crap again.

I began my comeback charge with Leonard Part 6 starring bill cosby. Unfortunately there are no such things as Leonard parts 1 through 5 so I found myself temporarilly out of ammo, otherwise the battle may have ended right there.

Just this past weekend, we watched some movie (her pick) called "Palindrome" that simultaneously annoyed and bored the crap out of me. It further annoyed me that palindrome is one of my favorite words and they used it as the title of a crappy movie.

And so the battle rages on...

A friend handed me a movie at Easter and raved about it, it's the best movie ever,,,Clooney is spectacular!!!!! So I slipped it in the DVR and suffered through the absolute worst movie i've ever endured, waiting for it to make sense, or even a clue as to where it was headed,,,,it went nowhere and ended leaving 400 questions and no answers,,,,SOLARIS,,,,,I have now spent considerable time planning my revenge,,,,

A couple of weeks ago I took my 6 yr old son to How To Train Your Dragon. Excellent computer animation and a really good story, didnt get to see it in 3D (sold out) but hear that's pretty cool.

It was... she's into Sandra Bullock movies. This was the academy award one. I said: "I didn't know you liked sport's movies." She picked it and enjoyed it.

If you fellers haven't seen "The Hangover" I recommend it. Loads of sheer random silliness. 4 guys head to Vegas for a bachelor party... 3 of them wake up in the hotel room the next morning and the groom-to-be is missing. They are all so badly hungover they can't recall the events of the preceeding evening... try to piece it together by some far out, wacky clues that they encounter so they can hopefully find the groom and get him to the wedding. Much hilarity ensues. cheers

Most recent movie I've enjoyed is Twelve Angry Men, fine actors doing a great job in one room - a jury room - beginning to end. Since then I've fallen asleep every night watching DVDs of The Twilight Zone...for a few weeks now and I'm still only part way into the 4th season.

Sunday night I rewatched Office Space, a classic. Very funny look at cubicle life.

I did my patriotic duty and used my income tax refund to bolster the economy. I went to Best Buy and bought my first HD plasma flat screen TV and a BluRay player. Looking for worthy movies to watch. Has anyone watched the Robert Downy Jr. Sherlock movie that is out on BluRay? No doubt he doesn't carry off Sherlock like Rathbone did... but is it a worthy flick to rent?

Don't know about the Blu-Ray version, but I got the Standard DVD the day it came out. An excellent movie IMO, there are several threads about it somewhere around here.
