PostSubject: My Weight Loss   Tue Apr 27, 2010 11:05 am

Those of you with whom I'm friends with on Facebook have already heard all of this but for the benefit of those who aren't... 2 1/2 years ago I began my weight loss odyssey. I began walking, then running and then weight training. I've now lost a grand total of 45 pounds since I began. I've gone from a 43" waist to a 36". This is something that ANYONE can do. If I can help anyone here start a program of their own I hope they'll drop me a line...

I'm hoping that these two pics will inspire. The first is of myself and friend Rich Esserman in NY three years ago. The second was taken in my front lawn last month...

Congrats on the weight loss, Dock. It's not easy, but you're right. Anyone can do it.

I posted two replies, and then tried to delete one, and it didn't work....

lol.

So this post is neither wanted nor relevant in any way.

Kind of like Obama's Health Care Reform.

Sorry about that.

I'm slowly but surely working on that myself, down about 14 pounds. Thanks for the inspiration Dock!

Good on ya. Last summer, due to a cardiac problems, was forced into a diet change. Went lower fat and, though I only mininimized fat, and didn't necessarily lower the amount of food I consumed, I, nevertheless lost 40+ pounds without increasing my exercise. So, it seems, it's all about the fat content of the diet. earl

It's different for each person. My g'friend had an operation where they put something called a "lap band" around her stomach. Right off the bat she lost thirty pounds. That was a few years ago now and she's yet to lose another since even though she's continued to eat right. Her problem is that she doesn't exersise in conjunction with her diet. If she did, her results would be far better.

If you want results that will last you've gotta change your whole lifestyle.
