Greetings Gents!
What a wonderful place this is! Since I have joined the brotherhood here I have learnt much. What I find really amazing is how you guys are willing to reach out and connect. Of late my pm box has been filled with requets and greetings from many of you.
This is to say a big thank you to all of you who have connect and contributed in some way or another to us in South Africa and helping establish the South African brotherhood.

It is great to chat to many of you. One of our brothers is immigrating here in July. I have offered to assist in any way possible. Another has requested some otc baccy from here..... really horrible stuff but he seems to love it! Thanks to you all I have been given the opportunity to sample some great american tobacco and managed to start filling my cellar with it.

Here is to you all .... 3 cheers......
cheers cheers cheers
I am proud to be part of the brotherhood and follow the motto I have learnt here...." Don't ask! Thats just what brothers do!"

The South African brothers salute you!!

Regards
Piet (BOB's South African Ambassador)

P.S. if any of you find your way down here be sure to look us up! Muddler and I will be glad to assist!

My oldest sister and her husband lived in South Africa from the late 50's to the mid 80's as missionaries for the Wesleyan Church. Their eldest daughter who is just a few years younger than me, married and stayed in South Africa. I'm not sure exactly where they reside but South Africa has always had a place in our family. The Wesleyan Church is a "holiness" church so any converts would refrain from tobacco and alcohol etc. Glad they didn't get to you Piet.

Piet,
If it wasn't for you, I'd never have heard of Jan Pietenpauw Pipes!!!
Now the rest is history. I just ordered two more from Jean on Friday.
One is my Birthday present to myself. I think I've been very good this past year. Razz

My Wife has no clue about pipes, but she loved the last pipe Jean sent to me.
So, in other words.... YOU ARE A TRUE BROTHER OF BRIAR!!!!

This hobby has allowed me to meet / chat with Brothers from all over the world. How many hobbies does that happen with?

CHEERS TO YOU PIET AND ALL OF THE BROTHERS!!!! cheers
