So when you click on the whatever emoticon you want nothing happens? I'm guessing it could be a problem with cached files for the editor then.

If you are in Internet Explorer go to Tools - Internet Options, on the window that pops up click on the Delete Files in the Temporary Internet Files section. On that window make sure you put a check next to Delete all offline content then click OK. It may take a bit to clear everything out. Then click OK to get rid of the Internet Options box and then refresh the page and try to make a post with emoticons.

There should be buttons on the bottom of every post for people's profile/pm/website still. Although the private message icon reads "mp" I think that is from the French version of the board - message privé
