Well fellas, I am waaaayyyy behind here. Work is crazy.

Yes.
Sandblast
bent
under 125.00 ( if possible)
group size is not so much an issue these days as you all have been teaching me pretty well how to work these things lol.

Looking forward to hearing what the Star Chamber comes up with!

I'm a newby here but an ol'timer in the world. only have about 20 pipes. Mostly baskets, e-bays and cobs, but would like to have a decent looking pipe.

1. Yes
2. smooth
3. 1/8th or 1/4 bent
4. prefer$125 but that may not be possible
5. size 4-5

Just a few thoughts on my part.

I picked up the pipe again nearly 5 years ago. Not very long compared to how long some of been smoking the briar. I tried this back in the late 1970's when we had a local tobacconist shop. Failed miserably. The difference this time has been the wide variety of people I have met on the various forums on the Internet. Information is right at your fingertips. The camaraderie is astounding. There are all kinds of people. Just like real life. But to make boxpasses work. Pay-it-forward. Forum pipes. Simply amazing.

Forum pipes are a large part of my herd. Nearly all have been a great deal, and good smokers to boot. No matter where you go, most forums do something like that from time to time. It is my hope that everyone who can, support the forum pipes when you can. No matter if it's here at Brothers of Briar, or ASP, Smokers Forums, GFO, TSPTC or any group. Join in from time to time. It's not about making money. It's about sharing the experience. Perhaps helping a new maker get noticed. Promoting our hobby. Some of the makers really put their heart and soul into their work. It's nice to be able to tell them thanks with a purchase.

Very Happy

As usual, I am the last to respond to the question but age has it shortcomings!

1- Yes
2- Blast
3- Straight or 1/4 Bent
4- In the $125 neighborhood
5- 4 or 5

Another great idea that seems to appeal to the group at large. However, let's have a SMOKING pipe vs. a TROPHY. From an old timer's observation, it seems that a great majority of the carvers of the world have forced "Mr. Average income" away from their very fine products in search of pipes from the newer group & less established of carvers in search of moderately priced pipes. God knows; I love the great American products as well as the Italian, the Danish & the English products but they are sure reaching such astronomical prices that us "poor" folks can only look & admire.

Hi Ruben, you should read the thread above this one. Mark has been making the forum pipes for several months for all who have ordered them on his web site. Be sure to ask him to stamp the pipe if you wish it to be marked.
