I'm actually in a bit of a transition period.I'm just finishing up the sell off a good chunk of my less expensive pieces. My current rotation consists of:

(2) Mike Lindner

(1) Warner Mummert

(1) Kurt Balleby

(1) Jorn Larsen

(1) Rolando Negoita

(1) Rad Davis

(1) Castello

My future aquisitions planned are ALMOST all Danish and include the makers: Crosby,Florov,Eltang,Heeshen,Balleby & Chonowitsch...

Best,
Dock

This question is forcing me to finally do an inventory of what I have. I will post when it's done. I would guess that I have mostly Italian and American carvers.

The top three would be Jan Zeman, Ardor, and pipes I've made. But Rad Davis' pipes are close behind and gaining steam!

Well, the most represented pipes in my inventory are from the USA, I have twice as many from Missouri than any other pipe in my collection. OK, some clarification is in order. I have two Missouri Meerchaum cob pipes the others in my rotation are all singles. But I'm off to a good start for a year and a half. Here is the list.

2 - MO Meers (English)
1 - DR. Grabow (Aromatics)
1 - Peterson (VA/VAPer)
1 - Abbey (English)
1 - Savinelli (VA/VAPer)
1 - Di-Monte (VA/VAPer)
1 - Erik Nording (VA/VAPer)
1 - Basket pipe (I could smoke chalk in this thing and it would still gurgle after three puffs) (my first pipe)

Most by a single maker = Peterson = 7. All but one pre-1915 through 1948. Mostly billiards, apples & bulldogs. An odd taste, perhaps. But (IMHO) a good one.

What a Face
