in lieu of puff daddys topic..how often do you smoke?

Smoking amount:
Usually every weekday evening for the ride home then 2-3 bowls per day Saturday & Sunday.
Sizing:
This summer when I ordered a pipe from Mark Tinsky he had listed it as a size 6, which didn't mean anything to me. I trashed the email already but he related his sizing to a specific brand like Dunhill. It did seem that when I searched the web at the time there were many differing size relations depending on maker.

I try to smoke once a day. sometimes twice a day if I can find time. onthe rare day off 3 to 4 times a day.

I tend to smoke two to three bowls per day when not working. When working its one maybe two due to time constaints.

As for the size question, JP is right. It would take another very long thread. With Dunhill the grouping size can vary drastically depending on shape. A grp 4 billiard is different than a grp 4 apple. Even the same shape can vary quite a bit. I don't think there is any real standard, its just a generality. With Ashtons the number of X's is a size designation. However, it varys again. I have a XXX apple that is quite a bit smaller than than my XX billiard. I have also had a XXX apple that was larger than my XX billiard. Go to smokingpipes.com and compare the measurments for the different shapes and groups. I normally purchase pipes that have a certain range for chamber diameter, chamber depth and bowl height that I have found works for me.

One every evening after work -- lasts around 1:15 - 1:30 (flakes, mostly).

On weekends and days off, it starts in the afternoon. Anywhere from 3 - 6 pipes, depending on the day & mood.

1 or rarely 2 bowls a day during the week. On weekends it depends. Usually 3-4 bowls per day.

Greatly depends on the weather for me! I try to get in at least one bowl a day, no matter what. But the cold will do me in; I ain't standing outside freezin' my butt off, no enjoyment in that!! When the weather allows, I work in several bowls a day; especially when I'm working outside. Always have a pipe in my mouth!! I don't smoke in the house or the cars. I'm on my way out now to walk the dogs penguin

and enjoy a bowl or two!!

Oh...The DH size number thing!! Think of it this way:

A 1 is very small,
A 2 is small,
A 3 is medium small,
A 4 is medium,
A 5 is medium large,
A 6 is large,
An ODA is X-large
An ODB is xx-large,
An ODC is xxx-large!!!

The smaller "sizes" were for the English/European markets due to preference and cost of tobacco. The American market wanted larger sizes; hence the 4's and larger. All my Dunnies are 4's or larger as I tend to prefer larger pipes!! FWIW...my two pennies worth!! santa

It varies a lot from day to day, but I always get to manage one 2 oz tin per week.

On work days usually one on the way home from work. If it is really slow and all the planes are up then I try and have a pipe break in the afternoon. On my weekends I will usually smoke three or four bowls a day depending on what I'm doing.

I normally have 3 to 5 a day. Mostly 3 or 4. Depends onn how the meds hit me and what kind of mood I'm in which changes at this point in time, but is getting better-slowly.
