That's a very fine, very poignant article that goes to the heart of pipe smoking. I guess we all have pipe smoking mentors. In my case it was my grandfather & my old flyfishing buddy, Jack. I guess I kind of smoke in honour of them sometimes. Pipe smoking is a legacy. You've captured that in your article. Thanks.

Well done sir. My father was a lot like yours except he was a Kaywoodie fan and smoked Half & Half. It was a very enjoyable read, thank you.
