| Dear forum members, I would like to present you with an opportunity I’d be honored to provide. Any forum is a more or less close community of individuals, joined by common ideas ideas. In our case the idea is pipe smoking and all the pipe-related world. You communicate virtually and in real life. Many of these relationships last for years and become real friendships. You are a community. In order to celebrate this special community and the idea that brings it together I would like to offer you the opportunity to create a forum tamper. This small object is meant to reflect your passion for pipes and for the community you are a part of. This idea first came to my mind over a year ago, but only now after a lot of work and preparations I can show you the results and samples. This project is now being realized on the Russian forum pipclub.info, where it got a very positive reception and was highly supported. The main idea is to create something like a family portrait. An object, which will commemorate all your friends, which will remind you of them every time you use it. As the realization of this idea I designed a tamper bearing nicknames of forum members- my virtual but not ephemeral friends. I want to show you the results. Dear friends, please discuss this idea. In case you find it appealing I will be very happy to create your Tamper “family portrait - Brothers of Briar”.In case you decide to go ahead with this tamper, please note that the tamper can bear about 108 nicknames. The above photos show the tamper in solid brass without any further finish. I am also planning to make same tampers with other types of finish- darkening, greening and other special methods of metals processing. The best way to proceed would be for the members of the forum to prepare a list of those willing to participate in the project. In order to make more grounds for your discussion, please note the following technical parametrs of the tamper Length: 86 mm Diametr: 13,5 mm Weight: 70 gr Brass tamper will costs 85 USD (Including post delivery) |

| Dear friends,
I am rather glad that my idea is warmly discussed on your community. Please note that design for your forum tamper will be special but it will have any sense in case your will unite at least 50 participants for this project. So, please dicuss this idea with your friends, enabling me to proceed with design of your personal forum tamper. |

50 participants? I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt we'll get that many. Oh! Well... _________________ Happy days and happier puffs.
