| I just ordered my regular 3 types;Poschel Gletscher Prise,Gawith Apricot, and Ozona Raspberry. Over the years I have tried most of the snuffs out there and settled on these three. | I've always enjoyed Pöschl's Packard's Club, which is exactly the kind of snuff I like: it basically smells like tobacco, non-mentholated, with a very subtle floral background. The olphactory sense is often neglected, especiallty by men. Never underestimate the ability of a plesant smell to put one in a better mood!
I have never had Gletscher Prisé. I wonder if somebody could give a mini-review. |

I'll try in a minute buddy. I have some right beside me. Feeling jittery due to some of the supplements I take. Packards Club, I keep around due to the container it comes in, but it is too purfumey for me.
I would venture to say that if you like Packards You'll like Glecher Prise.
I'll start a new thread, and hopefully I can describe it accurately. I've never been good at describing scents. |

| Just got a shipment of wide variety, albeit in the smallest sizes... figure it's time to try a few different styles and brands.
Already sampled: GH Kendall CM (Camphor Menthol) - Very bracing. Will use this one sparingly. SG Apricot - Maybe a bit too fruity/floral for me. I'll revisit with a clearer head. Packard's Club - Not bad; in the Gletscher Prise family; like the "single-dose" box. Bernard Brasil "Double Fermented" - Moist and dark and a bit like a nice maduro cigar wrapper. My favorite discovery, but pricier as snuff goes. Dholakia Chocolate - This was a lagniappe with the order. Smells like Nutella. Not much tobacco flavor to speak of.
Didn't try yet: Wilson's Tom Buck Wilson's Lemon Tree McChrystal's Original McChrystal's Clove McChrystal's Mild Lemon McC/JIP Medicated
Variety, they say, is the spice of life. _________________ "The plural of anecdote is not data." -Frank Kotsonis

| When I was new to nasal snuff I tried one after another just like with pipe tobaccos. You are always searching for that special "One".After a few years you settle down with a few favorites. | My first two samples were Ozona President and Kendall SP. SP does nothing for me. I like President so much, I was afraid to try anything else with my second order. I have a good supply now so I'll sample some of the others mentioned in these threads with my next order. |

| Just got an ounce each of "Dutch Windmill" snuff, Pompadour and Latakia-Peppermint.
The Pompadour is wonderful stuff, medium grind and clove-scented. If you like a perfumed snuff, it's nice. L-P is very unusual... smoky and minty. I sampled both one after the other, and the combined effect was like Xmas in my sinuses. (If I want to complete the effect, there's also a pine-scented lat snuff, yikes!)
Mars Cigars, being a class act, threw in a lagniappe of Tom Buck, which I like already, so jackpot. _________________ "The plural of anecdote is not data." -Frank Kotsonis

| Just got a Nicotine Rush order of:
Lyptus Wood PT Snuff Box [This is really nice, pocket-size and American-made. Picture didn't do it justice.] JH Wilson Medicated 99 Pocket Box JH Wilson SP No 1 Pocket Box Bernard Amostrinha 10g ["Take this excellent tobacco for the nose only." A camphor/menthol Schmalzer, very weird and tasty.] Samuel Gawith Yellow Crest 10g Dutch Prins Regent 12.5g [Dutch Windmill can do no wrong. Prins Regent is like Macouba + SP, totally amazing.] Dutch Pompadour 12.5g Hedges L260 25g [Dear lord, this is a huge tin of snuff. Really hope I like it.] NTSU - Menthol 14g [This is supposed to be some of the World's Strongest Snuffs... I eagerly await the challenge.]
With it came... Free Sample: DENTAL SCOTCH [I forgot what the sample was and snuffed a full pinch of American Scotch snuff... thought it was a High Toast style... big, big mistake... actually drooled a little on the floor, I am ashamed to say. The flavor, though, is very pleasant.] Free Promo: WE Garrett Scotch [Kinda cool to have for the tin art. I need to get a hickory stick to dip this.] _________________ "The plural of anecdote is not data." -Frank Kotsonis

| You will certainly appreciate the Hedges if you get a cold or stuffy nose. Waiting for your take on the Hedges. Winslow _________________ “The value of tobacco is best understood when it is the last you possess and there is no chance of getting more.” -Bismarck.

I'm just waiting for one of my bigger snuff boxes to free up so I have room to stow it. The tin is BIG and I can tell the lid isn't too snug. _________________ "The plural of anecdote is not data." -Frank Kotsonis
