| Consider this...
Lamar Odom, it was reported earlier today, spent the time before the flight to Boston, in a nightclub in LA partying.
Boston players:
Ray Allen was late getting into Boston because of an undisclosed medical problem with his young son.
The Celtics plane didn't arrive in Boston until almost midnight because of mechanical problems.
Ray Allen missed serveral minutes tonight due to an eye injury in the first quarter.
Perkins played with a injury tonite (missed last game).
Rondon had an ankle injury two games ago.
Pierce was injured four games ago.
That's four starters.
The Celtics play guts and blood ball on the floor.
Pau Gasaul was even called Paul "Gau -soft" by the the play by play guys.
It's about character and dedication and respect. _________________ "Manny changing the attitude in the clubhouse. It's like hearing that Pope Benedict XVI had 'em rolling in the aisles with his stand-up routine at the Vatican." -Dan Shaughnessy |

| Big congrats to the Celtics. I've never been a huge NBA fan, but the Celtics were the adopted home-team growing up in CT (since they played two or three games a season in the awful confines of the Hartford Civic Center.) I tuned in to see the last quarter and was shocked at what a laugher it had become.
I thought the Lakers showed a real lack of class by phoning it in at the end when they knew the game was out of reach--the last six minutes or so, they weren't even running back to cover on defense. They were beaten by a better team, but they were defeated by entitled attitudes like that. |

| Normally I don't keep up with basketball anymore as the game has degraded to a rough, glorified playground "one on one" type game...not the non-physical team game James Naismith envisioned when he invented the game. At least in my opinion that's what the game has come to. I did keep up and watch some of this series as it reminded me of the days of Bob Cousy, Tommy Heinsohn and Bill Russell of the great '60s Celtic teams. Congratulations to the 2008 NBA champs!
