OK, but who's going to guard the wimp and keep him from scoring 35 or 40 a night? The rest of the Lakers are just good enough that when you double Kobe and he kicks it out to the open man, the open man makes the shot, unlike the Celtics who've been wearing out rims all postseason long with their clang!! jumpers and their airball threes
The good news is that Allen is starting to find his range again and Pierce is shooting more consistently, just in the nick of time too I think they are going to have to match the Lakers scoring (100 pts a night) and put the ball on the floor a lot more, letting KG take it to the rim instead of looking to kick it out to a questionable outside shooter, and they need to keep Perkins involved offensively in the paint and encourage Rondo to push it to the hole in transition instead of slowing it up to set up the shooters. If they can produce a dominant inside game (which the Lakers won't be able to match) then Pierce and Allen will get theirs with no pressure on them and Kobe can score his 40 and still lose

| Great analysis PD
Kolbe's not really a wimp, and he's been there before. He wants to prove he can win without Shaq.
Garnet, Pierce and Allen want a ring for the first time.
With the Pistons and Celtics playing, you had the two best defensive teams facing eachother.
The Celtics can't compete in high scoring games. I don't expect too many games where the scoring will be over 100.
I expect the Celtics to take the series because as a team, they want it more. The role players signed for only one reason, to get that ring... Cassells, Brown. The youngsters want to help the Celtics big three to get that ring. |

| Today I listened to a lot of "BULLSHIT" on ESPN radio. Only one NBA major commentator gives the Celtics a hope of winning the finals. That is pure CRAP. The NBA west thinks it has a divine right of better ball. The Celtics went through the west during regular season pretty decently.
You western Yahoo's are in for a rude awakening...
Bring on the games......... starting Thursday night... |

| | Yep... that's Rondo's back-up on point guard. The games he doesn't play, he lays on the floor stretched out. Doc Rivers must be telling him, go lay down somewhere and SHUT UP!! |

| I watched the game Friday night at a local bar. The girl who tends bar there is a Pistons fan(and absolutely beautiful, besides...a whole other story ) and I was having a bit of fun with her as the game went on. She's a good sport, though. She took it well except for the part where she started throwing ice at me. Some times it's better to just clam up, no matter how funny what you're about to say happens to be.
I was glad to see the Celts make it. We're goin old-school for the finals. Should be interesting. I'm callin the Celts in 6. I'd love to see Garnett get a championship, so I'm pulling for him. Kobe Bryant, as great of a player as he is, just irritates me. Wahhhhh....I want out of LA. What's that, you say? You're in the finals? Oh...I just LOOOOVE being in LA, I don't wanna leave...the greatest place to play! Freakin cry baby. |

I remember listening to him calling in on Sport's radio talk shows last summer. That guy was messed up... many thought he was on the edge... but it was very whimpish acting and like you mention, acted just like a cry baby. Now he's got no excuses. |

I'm like you have been with the Stanley Cup finals... excited, anxious, ..... all the emotions...
Most professional sports personalities are picking the Lakers.
We'll see what happens... It could be another classic NBA finales.
I'm going to guzzle a beer for every three-pointer the Celtics make .
Interesting tibit... Kobe & Pierce are goods friends. After last year's season, they got together to play some "fun b-ball" to relax. They both predicted they'd be traded and on different teams this season. That didn't happen. But they're both in the finals. _________________ "Manny changing the attitude in the clubhouse. | Wow... Celtics did everything they needed to.
Can they keep it up!
Pierce, Garnett, Allen and Rondo all played great...

| Man these professional reporters rag on and on about how the Lakers are going to take this series, rather easiliy, starting tonight. With the 2-3-2 format, this game is pivotal. Celtics win it, they are in the driver's seat. The Laker's win it, the series is tied and the next 3 are in LA.
I like the word that one of the Lakers used before the series began. When asked "what is this all about?" He responded, "Respect."
And it doesn't seem to me that the Celtics are getting any...

| After first half... still anyone's game... In Phil Jackson's words during a time out "this is the worst, no we've played worse".
But the Celtics have done this alllllll season. I've followed and listened to most of the Celtics games. Everyone says the opposition are shooting poorly... No... it's the defense!!!
