| The time difference between the pole and back markers seems to be less that in the past. I think that's really helped the fun of F1. They seem to have gotten qualifying nearly right. It's been quite interesting, and not so long as to be boring with huge fuel burn-off sessions.
Actually hearing wheel spins and over-revs instead of the traction control retarding the timing has helped the show.
Then, there are the people around Formula 1 that make things worth watching. Pit Babes! Flavio is getting married again. She is 28yo. _________________

| Ferrari 1,2. Lewis Hamilton 3rd. Robert Kubica 4th. Alonzo blew and engine but was running well at the time. One horrific looking crash, but Heikki Kovalainen should be alright. He lost a wheel rim and went straight into a tire wall at high speed. Was knocked unconscious.
F1 rims are used one time and then xrayed for flaws before being having a new tire mounted. So they are fragile.
Turkey in two weeks. _________________

| So far Honda is preventing Super Augri from entering the paddock at Turkey. Hope they can come up with a funding solution soon. _________________

| Qualifying at the Turkish Grand Prix this morning. 7am Eastern.
The Ferrari's were fast yesterday in practice. Hope BMW gets the settings right to make it tough for them. _________________

| Massa on the top step at Turkey. Hamilton and Kimi 2nd and 3rd. BMW's 4th & 5th. Lewis did a 3 stop race ordered by Bridgestone after tires on Lewis's car were found delaminating internally during practice. Something unique to his driving style. _________________

| Great race as always. Rain made it much more interesting. Lack of traction control meant that driver attention was an absolute must at all times. Some got lucky. Farrari ended the day with a 3rd place for the only points from Massa. Hamilton won. Robert Kubica, whom I thought really might win it, ended up in a fine 2nd place.
Hard luck of the day was for Adrian Sutil in the Force India Ferrari running in 4th and the first points of the season, was taken out by Kimi. May have cost that team millions in TV dollars. Adrian had put in a fine race. I really thought that Ferrari would make a call down the pits and tell Force India to have Adrian make a mistake to let Kimi by. Something that often seemed to happen when Ferrari supplied Sauber, (the blue Ferrari) in years past. Kimi may dodge a 5 place penalty, simply because of who he's driving for. _________________

| Forgot to remind you guys of this weekends race. Canada! Looks like it could be a great day for BMW/Sauber in just a few laps.
Lewis took himself and Kimi out in the pitlane. Lots of retirements. _________________

| Robert Kubica makes history for BMW. He is now leading the drivers championship. Big difference from last years race. _________________

Winner Robert Kubica (Poland) 2nd Kimi Rikkanin (Finland) 3rd Lewis Hamilton (England)
How did he dowith his choices? _________________ "Lester is going through the Yankees like a warm knife through butter." -Ken Singleton |

Does that mean Kubica won today? _________________ "Lester is going through the Yankees like a warm knife through butter." -Ken Singleton |

| I went to the Sports site:
I guess Kubica won but the other two didn't finish the race.
The only TV channel carrying the Grand Prix wrap up is in French, and I'm not fluent in French. _________________ "Lester is going through the Yankees like a warm knife through butter." -Ken Singleton |
