This is billed by MLB the Empire vs the Nation, a three game set with the Yankees at Boston this weekend, with the Yankees 3 games behind the Red Sox.

It can't get better than in the AL East.

Best line of the evening. After Chamberlain almost takes Youk's head off, Remy says:

"What, is Chamberlain stupid?"

Other than that, a game won because of the shift on Giambi... a soft infield hit to short where there was no short-stop Rolling Eyes

Kudos to the Yankees... two games up in this series. Now they are 1 up on the Red Sox in face to face encounters this season.

It will still be the Yankees & Red Sox battling it out over the next two months.

I only saw the last two innings... by then it was over.


Unfortunately I won't be able to see tomorrow's game as well.

Two more months!!!

Good and needed win by the Bosox behind Lester last night. Because of the rain delay I was able to watch the last five innings.

The season series between the Red Sox and Yanks is now even.

However, it doesn't "let up" for the Bosox as the Halos come to town boasting the best record in MLB.

Another three set game starts tonight (August 26)

It's down to the last 30-32 games. Some interesting races. Both the Red Sox and Yankees are beset by tough injuries.

This series will be a dandy.
