| Just an awesome complete game pitched by Jon Lester to take the first game of this series.
Complete game pitch count: 105 (72 for strikes!!).
Man I can't believe I thought the Bosox should have traded him for Santana this past winter... _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WixcqHFm-H8 |

Yeah, that was interesting. There always seem to be something that's new or odd... Damon has a perpectual, natural smile. I think that straighten out his smile for a few minutes.
I had to leave for a while but listened to Espn stork's talk. One of the guys said: "Well if the Yanks lose today, what are they going to do? Call a hour and a half "closed" door meeting after the game?"
I'm beginning to hear crickets in Yankee Stadium... the only noise is the blustering coming out of Hank's owners suite _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WixcqHFm-H8 |

anyone got a hankie? I've got tears of JOY...
AIN'T NO WAY THE YANKEES ARE GOING TO WIN THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND SERIES.

| I'm still pi$$ed about the 3rd base umpire's call of a "none catch" on Crisp in the bottom of the 9th. Replay, admittedly, by the Yankee crew, it was a catch. Replay proves it.
What galls me is that Michael Kaye and Ken Singleton say "Oh, watch, the Red Sox will be for instant replay from now on".
Suddenly, I've loss respect for these a$$es. It cost the Red Sox a run but fortunately not the game.
Name a better defensive outfield, who have made spectacular catches in these two games:
Left: Ellsbury Centre: Crisp Right: Drew _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WixcqHFm-H8 |

| I'm going to miss the Masterson-Mussina matchup this afternoon . But I'll fill my pipe with Dark Plug and smoke it when I can during the game time.
The game will be on Fox.
Masterson is a side-armer who goes inside and out over the plate. And is fairly effective against both left and right hand batters. He's a youngster and has given up the long ball. He'd have a better record if the Bosox would support him with a few runs when he pitches. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WixcqHFm-H8 |

| frustrating loss, can't blame tito, there was nobody to pinch hit for tek or lugo... tek needs to get his crap together, ahead in the count 2-0, he needed to look for a pitch to drive. _________________ Nick

| | Quote: | Pitching matchup BOS: RHP Tim Wakefield (5-6, 3.72 ERA) If there has been a recurring theme with Wakefield over the last few weeks, it's that he pitches well but doesn't win. In his last seven starts, the knuckleballer is 2-3 with a 1.98 ERA. Wakefield took a 3-1 loss to the Rays on Tuesday, giving up one earned run over seven innings. This will be Wakefield's first start of the season against the Yankees. Lifetime against New York, Wakefield is 9-16 with a 5.03 ERA. At Yankee Stadium, he is 5-7 with a 3.66 ERA.
NYY: RHP Joba Chamberlain (2-2, 2.22 ERA) Chamberlain struggled against the Rangers on Tuesday, but he held the Texas offense to just two runs despite a high pitch count. After throwing 91 pitches, the righty exited after four innings, his shortest outing since his first start June 3. Chamberlain gave up five hits and walked four, but he recorded six strikeouts to limit the damage. Girardi said his starter's control was a little off and long innings led to the early exit.
