The young lad has done it again. Great game until young Jon lost it in the 9th inning. It surely made the Twins' day, and as a Sox fan I grumbled all night. What do you think of trying another closer for the next few games???

are you serious?

two bad innings in a row and you wanna try a new closer, i guess we should have sat ortiz cause he hit .125 in april.. if the sox are up by 1 today in the 9th, i want 58 on the hill.

relax, paps and sox will do just fine.. you wanna talk about pitching problems look at the stankees and there "young pitching" LMAO.

I watched both games... One thing Francona is doing a little differently is occasionally bringing Paps in to pitch to one hitter in the 8th. I don't recall him being used for more than 1 inning last year. In 2006 he was over-used. Last year, seemed just right.

I don't know... Delcarmen is struggling lately as well.

It's not fun see good "come back" games only to lose in the bottom of the ninth.

Perhaps Hansen should get a chance as a closer to give Paps a rest when he needs it. Hansen pitched well his last outing and was clocking some pitches in the high 90's. His slider seems to be back as well.

It's tough to be the manager as we all would do something differently when things go wrong.

Yep,
You guys are absolutely correct. I guess I'm jumping the gun trying to sit Pap down too early. In the long run the boy has been an incredible closer. Just really disappointing to see a loss in the bottom of the ninth. Grrrrr.
STANKEES!!!! First time I've heard that term. lol! lol!
