It showed a clip of Bill Mazeroski's World Series winning homerun against the Yanks in 1960. That's one of my earliest memories of major league ball. I was eleven years old at the time. I watched the game and only knew the Yankees had lost. A class mate (staunch Yankee fan) phoned me after the game and wanted to play catch, so I went over to his house. As we tossed the ball back and forth, he kept saying "Did you see Maris jump up and almost catch that ball. He almost had it!"
Now over 47 years later I know that was bullshit.
The ball was way over the fence and Yogi Berra was in the outfield.
