| Hey,
The current version is very smoky with appreciable body.
The one-back version was topped with something like Christmas spices.
The two-back version, which was discontinued somewhere about 5/07, is the one I seek. The tin aroma is of a complex topping which doesn't translate into taste. The tobacco tastes, according to a review I wrote of it, "dark, smoky, slightly vanilla, bitter, earthy, rop-ish."
HO blend, somewhere about 7/10.
I have a large cellar and would like to do a trade, but have few latakia blends; I'd also buy it if need be. This is not a holy grail tobacco for me, which means that I'd be unwilling to pony up all that much more in trade or purchase for it beyond the current market value of the blend.
I have a list of all the tobaccos in my cellar. Should you want to trade, I'll send it to you. _________________ From Stanley Kubrick's "Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb"

| Hey Guys,
Would you do me a favor? The next time you visit your tobacconist, please see if he has the tobacco. The label would be red. Try and find out what he knows about their age. Again, the tins in which I would be interested would have been sealed before 6/07, and thus perhaps the best candidates would be those that he bought when the flake was first issued, and that have sat on the shelf.
Thanks! _________________ From Stanley Kubrick's "Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb"

| A red label? All mine are a brown text on a light brown background showing ferns.
I don't want to get rid of any. But I was curious about the label color. I wonder when they changed to red. _________________

| | I have "red" bought in Sept '06 and 3 "brown" bought in Nov '06. Sorry can't be of help with "border" issues but I want to hold on them anyway. There must be some out there, if I have them. |

| I always bought bulk and thus I'm going on memory when I say that the tins had a red label. The important thing is that sometime before 6/07 they switched and began producing the 1-back version. '06 or earlier should be safe for the 2-back version, the version I seek. _________________ From Stanley Kubrick's "Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb"

| Someone out there must have this tobacco, perhaps in a dusty jar in the back of their cellar. _________________ From Stanley Kubrick's "Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb"
