Hello fellow pipe-smokers! After lurking for a while I've decided to join in the conversation. Haven't been at it for too long, bought my first pipe (cob) about a year ago. Since then have acquired a couple nice straights (Peterson and Stanwell) from the smokingpipes website. As with most folks (I guess) I started with the sweet aromatic blends. Then I found out that while many of them smell good in the room, they tast a little like a cigarette. Since then I've moved on to mostly english blends. I like Penzance, Squadron Leader, and Nightcap among others. Lately though my biggest problem has been hayfever and nasal allergies that make it hard to breathe through the nose - which actually makes pipe smoking quite hard. I'm on a steady regimen of nasal irrigation and flonase for a while before I can get back to the pipes.

Start smoking the pipe more often and over power the allergies!
