I see vague references to screens in a pipe. I bought 100 screens off eBay trying to make an old Falcon into a bong. Didn’t work. So here I set with 99 screens I have no use for. Is there advantages or disadvantages to put them in my tobacco pipes?

If you have a pipe with a cone-shaped bowl a screen can help prevent the accumulation of dottle in the apex of the bowl. It helps prevent obstruction and gurgle by creating a void at the draw. Basket screens are particularly good for this, flat screens may require a bit of reshaping.
Thanks

I put a screen in my pipe. It came with a screen, some filters, and pipe cleaners so I use them. Not sure if its needed but it makes sense to keep the tobacco packed where you want it.
