OK so a bit ago I put a bid in on this pipe that I actually figured would win and was surprised to see the ending result. Am I missing something? This is a Stanwell seconds brand is it not?

Somebody got bit by the Stupid Bug!

Knock the 1 off the price and its still at least $8 to expensive.

Stanwell is kinda messed up when it comes to 'Royal Danish'. The name has been used both as a brand and as a line within the parent brand..

This one is a Vario second, considering you can buy a Vario well under the Buck mark all I can assume is someone wanted it Real Bad due to the 'off the chart' shape.

I actually looked at my bid history on that and the initial bid I put in I wasn't sure would win but I was going to go back and up it. By the time I did it was over what I was willing to go.

Thought for sure there was something about that pipe I just didn't know that made it worth more.

It is pretty old and unsmoked, but still a 2nd of a brand that is pretty budget friendly to begin with. Perhaps there is a rabid Stan collector out there that was somehow missing exactly this piece from his collection, or maybe he knows something about it that the rest of us don't!

Whoa! That pipe's worth less than $35.00 J! It appears to be an old Vario second. I've bought similar at flea markets for ten bucks or less. This one I really just don't get. Perhaps a wife buying a gift for her husband. She didn't know it's real value and just kept bidding? Shill bidding? Who knows.....

It was a good auction layout with plenty of nice pictures. Fair hype in the text. Seeing as how it is income tax return time. I am not surprised.

Jason,

If you want to bid again.

Link Ebay

I think if you spot the six differences they give you a cookie.
