| That is a very collectible piece, and I think the buyer got a bargain. What many of us do not understand is that there is a large collector market for antique pipes, and often the collectors do not even smoke. There is a monkey pipe on ebay right now at around $400, and I told my wife it will probably go for over $1000.
Pipes are not just for smoking.
