Working through the 1993 multi-part HBO series "The Untouchables." Tom Amandes is a pretty good Ness, and

John Rhys-Davies, always terrific, plays the Chicago cop Malone. Well done series.​

Again, very impressive in all respects. These four TNG movies - Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, and Nemesis were all several orders of magnitude above the series. Not only in special effects but character development and plot. Especially interesting was the undercurrent of humor which bubbled to the surface occasionally and which was largely absent in the series.

Can't think why I missed these when they were first aired but way great to catch up with them now.

Um...you HAVE seen the newest versions of the Star Trek world I assume? I think the last three of those below, released between 2009 and 2016 that are produced by J.J. Abrams and star Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg are, shall we say, light years beyond. I grew up on Star Trek. It’s part of my soul. But the new cast, the incredible special effects, bringing back Capt. Pike, the new green alien hotties...my oh my. There were some good decisions made with those, to be sure. Khan does hold kind of a special place though. I love Ricardo Montalban.

I've seen some of the ST movies but not all of them. I will be catching up with them in due course.

Tried to watch this as I was very interested in the history, but there was no closed captioning and the accents were so thick I couldn't understand any of the dialog.

Decided to do Tarantino over the holiday. My son can't believe it but I have never seen both of the Kill Bill movies so we are watching those tonight and tomorrow.
 
It’s not hard to believe that “Little Women” (2019) earned 6 Academy Award nominations. It’s gorgeous, warm and holds continuous interest throughout. My daughter’s pick for a Christmas evening family film. Good pick!
