Standing by...waiting to see all of these Secret Santa gifts that everyone is treating themselves to this year...

I'll share a photo of my Hanukkah commission pipe that is currently in progress when it is finished, but in the meantime, here's a teaser...

Holy Moley Loren....that is some extreme Birdseye right there! o_O

Cheers,

I'm declaring this as my SS to myself. I need a good excuse to slip it past my Social, Menu, and Financial Advisor. In her defense, I do have an "adequate" cellar.

Now that's a nice Christmas gift. Have only tried a few blend from Watch City but have not been disappointed.

Ernie is, in my opinion, one of the better blenders around. At last count I have 26 of his blends in stock, including a few no longer available. Only one that I’ve been less than enamored with.

Received this in the mail today, good thing we haven't actually moved out yet. Get a PM at work basically saying "how you haven't moved yet". Holiday vacation starts next Monday so this will get out to good use. Now to head out and pick up a bottle of something for it.

Thanks to history prof 1861

Sometime this week I will try to put together what Santa has dropped off here at the homestead. I may wait until the big day. I have had a ton of projects that need my attention. And still do. The opportunity to complete some tasks presents itself this week. Then maybe I can relax a bit and reflect on this past year. Not the normal Secret Santa year, to be sure.

My pipe and tobacco collection is full and may dig out something at the bottom of the stash. Looks like a box of cigars is on it's way though. Woo-hoo

Holding off cracking a tin of my SS stash (and popping a twist top) until a bit closer, and will post then. 🎅

Since it's the solstice, I decided I'll open one of the bottles tonight, and so should post.

Tobaccos:
3 Sutliff Cringle Flakes
3S Gawith Hansom Cabs

Wine
Quinta das Carvalhas sampler (10, 20, 30, & 40 year tawny port)
Same, 1/2 bottle of 10 year tawny
& for NY Eve, a little bottle of Chandon sparkling

Merry Christmas a few days early, happy solstice, Io Satunalia or other holiday of your choice.

I hope you all enjoy the season and whatever Santa brings you. 🎅

Woohoo! Way to go Santa! Be sure to give us a report on those tobaccos. Both unfamiliar to me.
1st impressions (two bowls) of Hansom Cab.... It reminds me more of GH Scotch Flake than a SG product in some ways. Imagine 1/3 Scotch Flake, with the rest the base tobacco flavored with Tonquin (the S Gawith 'flavoring') and a little dark fruit (from the Perique), with a Perique aftertaste.

Well goodness me! Santa’s been already! I wonder what it could be?!
