This has been a crazy winter. Until last night, if I so desired, I could rake the remaining leaves in my yard. Temperatures got into the 40s on Monday. Then yesterday came the blizzard warning. I'm 8 minutes, by car, from Mpls-St. Paul Int'l Airport which recorded 8.7 inches of snow over night. There's less than three inches on my lawn and driveway. I'm gathering the courage to go out and shovel the driveway. It's currently -2 degrees, but the windchill is -30.

Man I miss that

I love winter and snow and blizzards. Since I have been generally living down south (with the exception of 2 years in upstate NY, loved it) snow has been pretty rare for me.

I should have looked more carefully at the driveway.

Down the driveway where it reaches the street there was about 6-7 inches of snow.

I grew up in upstate NY and the lake effect snow was a bit much. Move to Montana and the weather would change at the drop of a hat. Thirty-six years in Wyoming was enough of the snow and wind and prompted us to move to Arizona.

I watched my crew shovel twice over the 4 day Christmas weekend on my Ring Doorbell from Sunny SoAz. :geek:

I've got about 5 inches to shovel and am screwing up the courage to go out an do it.

We've got a crazy "Summer" here in Aus. It's normally between 30-40 odd degrees Centigrade at this time of year. We've been pushing 10-20 C for the last week or so. Certainly beats the country burning like last Summer.

Yeah...Winter is tough all around. We all look forward to Spring.

Here, we’re getting warmer with each passing day. Finally to the point where I had the wife hanging laundry outside to dry.

That's why I love Prescott. Just enough snow to have fun but not enough to be a problem. One big reason I left the midwest. Got tired of shoveling 2 to 4 feet of snow several times a year.

Well, guess I have to retract my earlier statement about Arizona getting just enough snow for fun. Snow's been coming down all day like a MN blizzard. Sheesh, thought I left this behind when I moved from NE. Thank goodness we are retired and don't have to go anywhere.

Ya Ranger, you folks are getting clobbered. Flag is supposed to get up to 20" of that garbage.

Here in the west valley we had rain, heavy for a short time with thunderboomers and lightning, as well as small hail and some gusty winds. And now the sun has come out. ;)

Enjoy your snow. I've enough of that to last me several lifetimes.....☀️

Cheers,

RR

We had 6" on Sat night, another 5" last night. Not sure about today yet, but guessing around 12/14", and supposed to start again around 8 pm. Only PITA I have is going out to shovel a path from the patio to the artificial turf by our back wall. We have two little shih Tzus, one is like a siberian husky, romps through the snow, pees and poops anywhere, even in foot deep snow. The other one will not even go out to pee if there is the slightest snow on the ground. Have shoveled 5 times today already, lol. Don't know if I can post a video on here but may try later. Wife got a great one with the snow coming down.

Man I'll take some of that this way, there is no reason to have 70 degrees days in January
You are welcome to come up here and take all you want,,lol. Not sure where you are, but I always got bummed in CA, when it was 75 degrees on Christmas day. Christmas without snow just isn't the same.
