C & D Black Frigate in a Peterson meerschaum. Lightning way off on the distant horizon.

Beautiful evening on the deck with 2004 Gawith Hoggarth Dark Flake unscented in a GBD pedigree. Decaf coffee to drink and Coltrane’s “Impressions” album on the Bluetooth

Those @%?&en scammers are playing us again! They had promised that the Cafes would open in April, then they said early May and now they say mid-May. So for another month we will be in the benches like illegal wanderers.

I am smoking Petersen & Sorensen The Squire's Mixture, double Greek coffee beside me and yes, i am very upset!

Off work for today, so it’s an early morning bowl of 2004 Gawith Hoggarth Dark Flake unscented in a Briar Works prince out on my deck. This pipe is a dedicated Lakeland tobacco pipe, so I’m scratching that itch for a little Dark Flake (scented) this morning!

My Urban Cowboy blend in a Butz magnum rusticated bent billiard with dark roast coffee on the side. Got the hard cast off yesterday, replaced with a flexible, removable one. Doc says hand is doing well for only 6 days after surgery. Nice day here in Prescott. Redbud and plum trees blooming nicely.

Solani Black & White in a Design Berlin Siegfried. Been reviewing my Top Ten from 2018 and so far I still like them but most have been replaced by new favorites. B&W is still good, especially toward the end of the bowl, but I can think of at least three blends from Wilke that I like better which cost less and are readily available. Imagine that!
