At 3:50 its 92 feels like 97. No wonder I'm so hot out on the deck. Not a single breeze stirring. It's pounding hot. My two outdoor cats are hiding in a shady spot. I'm trying to smoke a bowl and drink some tea. It's work. Hope your weather is better.

It reached 105 today on my back porch here in the west valley. No doubt at least 5 degrees hotter in downtown Phoenix. Prediction is to get to 117 on Tuesday!

🌞

Cheers,

RR

Well, now, Sun day afternoon, it's 86, warm, but there is a breeze. So, not so bad. I'm out on the deck with some nice green tea and a couple of pipes. da

It's looking like another gawd-awful hot summer in Arkieland, with half the moisture of the Gulf in the air, and not a leaf on any tree will move until late October (except when the level 5 tornados roll through). It's times like this that I wish my fellow trekkers had never dug me out.

About 65F now here with mild cool rain showers. It’s been crisp in the mornings, big fluffy clouds at mid day and showery in the evening. Love it.
How about sending some our way. 96 today but only 8% humidity. Hot and dry just like an oven, lol. If I were a turkey wife would be carving me up right now. Thank God for A/C.

It got to 112 on my back patio yesterday afternoon. Should be even hotter today!

🌞

I pity you folks in the valley. Supposed to be 102 here today. Unheard of in this part of AZ. Funny thing, when I lived in Tucson and it got to 115 it never bothered me. But that was 15 years ago. Now that I'm older anything over 90 drives me indoors. Lol.

Low 90's here in OKC, but humidity at 65%!! Steamy...By late afternoon will be able to sit on porch/patio with overhead fan going!! Time for a few cold ones and a bowl or three!! FTRPLT

At least our humidity is low, 5 to 8%. A dry heat, but at 102 I still feel like the Tday turkey.

It only got to 102 today here in the west valley. Must be the overcast. Was looking forward to experiencing 116. No worries though. Prediction is for 118 tomorrow and Thursday.

If that sounds crazy, I visited Death Valley in August back in '97 and it got to 120 or so the day I was there. Frankly, after you get beyond 110 there doesn't seem to be much difference.....

😳

RR

I agree. There were days on my last deployment that reached about 127 (53 C) "dry" heat, it doesn't matter after 110, hot is hot at that point. I think Kuwait was the hottest place I've been to, about 120 at night don't know what it was during the day since the thermometer topped out at 125

When I went to Saudi in 90/91 for Desert Storm I swear there were days around 130. Then throw on chem gear and you really are a roasted turkey, lol. And I thought Tucson was hot.

Puleessse do not remind me of extreme heat, chem gear & baggies (saran wrap as we called it!!)!! FYI...I was stationed a D-M in late '69-summer of '70. Hot (93F on Turkey day 1969!!). Later at Luke in the summer of 1974. 125F on the ramp at Luke; probably hotter, but thermometer only went to 125F!! Rental house at D-M not air-conditioned...had a "Swamp Box" that worked quite well!!! FTRPLT

Sorry about that. Yep, bad memories. But remembering it does remind me it could be worse, lol.

Temps have hit the high 90's, maybe 100F, now thru Sunday!! Just not nice to be outside at the moment. Monday is forecast to be cooler with rain; we can only hope!! FTRPLT
