    I blame Monbla.

With such high-brow commentary it is no wonder so many of my friends no longer light up in this forum.

    I blame Monbla.

Yes, when the question is irrelevant to the argument. I happen to enjoy "fine Virginia tobacco" very much. McClelland too often spoil theirs.

    I blame Monbla.

Seems like good advice. I can't imagine the twist in his knickers when I tell him McClelland blended McCranie's. It ain't worth the bandwidth.

    I blame Monbla.

All well and good for your humble opinion, but you did not address the fact hat NO other blender gets "dissed" for the aspect. In MY experience the aroma comes through in McClellend's blends in varying degrees - sometimes only in aroma, sometimes (and this is when I hate it) in both aroma and...

    I blame Monbla.

I was digging this topic until that ketchup thing came up. Shame too as McClellends are otherwise top notch. I never picked up the dreaded, foul taste in the Grand Orientals or Dark Star or in ANY other blending house, so what gives with it, anyway?

I live in Pittsburgh which means "yes", of course I wear them...about four-five months a year. Too old to be hip, too grumpy to care.

Opinions on MacBaren Acadian Perique please

I really like it as well, but I'm cheap and must wait until my next trip to Virginia Beach and Emerson's (which is the only source I've found in bulk for this) to resupply. It's a sort of cavendished Vaper in my opinion.

There you go. Since he's building the structure, put office in corner and install large windows for cross-ventilation. Hope for mild winters.

Do you reach for Pipe or Tobacco?

Tobacco first, pipe next, beverage last UNLESS I am leaving the house with spouse. If I have a beater pipe or one she thinks too gnarly she will make a comment (or maybe 20 comments) until I pick one to her liking; hence, I choose pipe first utlizing some Zen method of divination, then a blend...

    GBD 9438 Virgin Restored

Very, very nice. I only own one 9438, a Sauvage, which I treat like a holy relic I'm afraid. I need more; then I might smoke it, and them, more. Sometimes when I have a older pipe such as these, I hesitate smoking them keeping them as pristine as I can. Nuts, I am...I know, I know.

So you think tobacco regs are bad now, read this !!

Whoever said that the more things change the more they seem the same was on to something, I think. I've read this before now, but a re-read did me well. Thanks.

    Morning Smokes

My standard morning, first smoke of the day is C&D Bayou Morning. That Vaper warms up all the spark plugs in short order.
