I have never tried a nosewarmer as the shape didn't appeal to me very much. Now I'm wondering . . . no, no not yet. I may end up getting one to see - a great reason for a PAD strike.
In October, I asked Lee to make a pipe for me. I saw one that he made several years ago and really liked it. I wanted a spiral shanked pipe of his. So I commissioned one and today I received an e-mail from Lee that he was finished with the pipe. I can't wait for the delivery...
Hope your mother in law is doing okay.
Sounds like a great time meeting him and of course scoring a new pipe. Post a picture if you can. I would love to see it.
Congrats on your win. It certainly is a different style pipe that you usually see. Not my "cup of tea" but certainly great looking. Hope it smokes great for you.
Great work for your first 4 creations. It certainly is easy to get hooked on making pipes - it has happened to me, too. What are you making next, Hollywood?
I agree with Carlos. "Its the journey" that matters. I find that some of the English blends are quite moist out of the tin so I let them dry a bit then put it in the mason jar. I like the tobacco on the dry side. If it is a flake, I fill the bowl with broken flake and put the powder on top...
I have been making piipes from kits I bought from Tim West since September. In November, I took a class with Tim. This pipe is the fourth pipe I made and finished it in December. I thought I would share pics here.
