Has anyone tried any of the Brigadier Black pipe tobaccos (exclusive to pipesandcigars.com)? I did a Brothers of Briar search and didn't come up with anything.
Includes several varieties such as:
Brigadier Black Waterloo
Brigadier Black Alamo
Brigadier Black Bull Run
Brigadier Black...
Thanks!! I have VBC on hand, as well as BCA. I recently attempted to order McClelland 5100 but it was -- what else -- backordered. Will try again soon.
My current fav homeblend:
2 parts 1-Q
2 parts LL-7
1 part Autumn Evening
1 part BLWB
Dry as desired. I like to spread a big batch in a...
Well, I came this close to getting some MN79 in my last order. I looked at reviews and found that it is the most controversial blend on the market. It seems to be like space travel - people either love it or hate it. However, on your recommendation, I'm definitely going to put in a order for...
I bought a large tin of Granger. It is ok -- I like the fact that it has no bite and is (seemingly) low in nicotine.
However, I'd like to enhance the flavor a bit without jacking up the "strength." Does anyone have any suggestions for an aromatic that might go well with it?
Thanks.
The Savinelli Extra series is out of production, but I am interested in one on Ebay. The seller does not understand my question to him/her about whether or not the pipe can accept a filter.
Is there anyone out there who knows if the Savinelli Extra series (the one I'm interested in is a 6002...
I love the 1670 Anniversary series. Don't have any yet (I have about 40 bottles of ink, plus my mixings). But I was planning on treating myself this Christmas to some, nonetheless.
Thanks for the heads-up on the Caroube - seems to be a beautiful brownish, reddish, dark leatherish color. I...
Well, thanks for that! That is a good general guide. One of my erroneous assumptions was that Latakia contained lots of nicotine.
I know that nicotine is not a harmful substance, just a stimulant like caffeine, and is probably actually beneficial in the same way, so I envy pipe smokers who are...
Thanks for your time and work!!! I will follow up with the search technique and the list you gathered! AAMOF, I took the idea and remembered the "tobacco locator" button at smokingpipes.com and was able to come up with some pretty good ideas also.
(BTW, per your pen and ink -- Lately, I've...
Nicotine and I do not get along at all. A few puffs of tobacco containing nicotine sends me into a death spiral. Thus, I am an aromatic lover (RLP-6, 1-Q, etc,).
That being said, I'd love to venture into some English blends that are nicotine-shy, if they exist.
How about Frog Morton Cellar...
Well, I guess I was originally thinking about bulk pipe tobacco, which is the only way I buy. The 55 cents per ounce amounts to an additional $8.80 per pound.
For folks who regularly pay $5 to $10 per ounce for tinned pipe tobacco, what's another dollar, right?
Perhaps most tobacco retailers...
I'm wondering what Pennsylvania pipe tobacco retailers will do to stay competitive as they face the ridiculous and onerous new tax (55 cents per ounce) on pipe tobacco?
Could they move their tobacco packaging operations (e.g., contract out the packaging and posting) to another state, and...
