It was a most unexpected gift sir. I do look forward to trying them again. Thank you sir, and I look forward to my first order at PNC.

    Old Dark Fired rehydration project.

I agree, it is as much about the ritual of loading the pipe as it is about the smoking. For me, I love the fact that I can just unwind on my porch with the family, or in my chair listening to my favorite twitch streamer. On that note, what would make a good portable container for about a days...

    Old Dark Fired rehydration project.

Thanks for the link, that was a good read. That is something i will have to learn as i go. One question I found that i didn't post in my review of Dark Flake Licorice, was is there a good container one can have with us as we are smoking it through it through the day? It makes no sense for me...

    How was your weather today?

Hit about 80 degree's today. Not muggy/humid. The breeze was nice as i mowed my lawn. Finally dry weather has arrived. Got so much rain our farmers have almost nothing planted.

Hello everyone, Newpiper here with another end of bag review. This time i am reviewing Dark Brown flake Licorice, graciously given to me by Black Horse. This was a delicious smoke. I will state up front that the flavor, to my young and unrefined palate was dominated by the sweet licorice...

    Old Dark Fired rehydration project.

So prolonged time in a very dry state will cause the oils and casings to be lost? Now I am getting the impression that these tins were dry for a very long time. Despite the owner telling me that he will replace any future purchases if the same situation arises, it makes me doubt the entirety of...

    Old Dark Fired rehydration project.

I was shocked to say the least. The ODF fractured and shattered like glass into small pebbles slightly bigger then grains of sand. The Nuns as not that dry, but the tobacco had the consistency of hay and the loose spun coins fell apart. When loading the pipe with the now broken mess of Nuns, it...

End of Bag review! Hello everyone, Newpiper here with an end of bag review of Classic Burley kake. This bag as well as others were graciously given to me by Mr. Black horse. This was smoked in my MM Country Gentleman. So I smoked nothing but this for a period of about 2 weeks even took my...

    Old Dark Fired rehydration project.

So I wanted to give an update on the rehydration project of both my Three nuns and my ODF. I am sad to report that it was a total failure. Literally no flavor what so ever in either of them. What makes me angry is the money I spent but foolishly didn't keep the receipt for. If it were...

    Question regarding Drew Estate Tins.

How does it compare to the regular sized stogie? What makes determining if they are long or mixed filler is the fact that they are included in the webpage for the regular sticks on the DE website. With no mention of them being mixed filler. I guess that if they are mixed filler it is only...

    Question regarding Drew Estate Tins.

I was hesitant to try it at first, but I really didn't want to spend 9$ on a more expensive mellow cigar.(Given my palate is young) I am glad I did, as I found it to be simple yet good. Just a flavor of sweet cream with a hint of spice. Simple yet enjoyable. I have gotten a Sun Grown and...

    Question regarding Drew Estate Tins.

I will say, Drew estate seems to be really good about making flavorful cigars at the various price points. Case in point, I have been enjoying their Factory smokes Shade. Less than $2 online, and only $2.59 at my B&M and it had a simple flavor profile that was still tasty. Sweet cream with a...

    Question regarding Drew Estate Tins.

I was at the B&M looking at their pipe selection, wanting to see if I could get an actual briar. On a whim I went into the humidor and bough some nice Cigars as I enjoy them occasionally. Usually one a weekend. Got a Baitfish, a Perdomo Champagne, Joya Cabinetta, and the Maduro and Sungrown...

Looks like that is next on my shopping list. 8 ounce jars. So far I have all my baggies of tobacco jarred up in 3 large mason jars, still in their bags. Going to get some small 8 ounce jars this weekend and transfer them all into separate ones.

    Old Dark Fired rehydration project.

So. I thought I would put this here as this seems like the proper forum for it. As my post in the tobacco jar indicates, I am the owner of a tin of Old Dark Fired that came to me from the store so dry it fractured into grains of sand. My rehydration project with my Three Nuns Orange appears...
