Comme ci comme ça. A lot of the time they come off as just too precious for my tastes, especially in some of the modern pipes. And I've never taken much of a shine to those GBDs with the transparent acrylic stems either. On the other hand, I don't mind the oxidation on some of my vulcanite...

No heresy at all PD.  Lots of guys find a cold shave is much more comfortable and less irritating.  One thing's for sure when it comes to getting a good shave no single approach is ever going to works best for everyone. For me it was actually the hot or at least warm lather that got me to pick...

A small pocket knife is all I keep with me everyday. Usually just an old Utica or my trusty lil' Opinel 5.

Both are remarkably good IMO (the brown irish & the no.4 that is), though lately I've been reaching for the 10mm pigtails more often than the 20mm twists.
