Enjoyed a very tasty egg sandwich, and am almost half way through this bowl of SWRA in a straight black sandblast undated Savinelli Hercules 115EX pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Well I started to tap into my cellar. Opened up a fourteen year old tin of Captain Earle's Honor Blend crumble cake in a Altinok Meerschaum. Its a Red Virginia, mild Cavendish, Turkish and Perique crumble cake. My first impression is very mild with a hint of perique. Taste the Virginia's more then the Turkish. The cake was not dried up in its paper wrapping. Starting to taste the Turkish now.

Wow, 14 years old. Sounds like a good blend. Beginning to wonder what my 2013 tin of Red Rapparee will taste like now.

Hobbits weed in the small pot from Road Town. Smokes okay just not good for more than 25 or 30 minutes. Looks good with the bamboo stem though.

First bowl, IR 3 star blue in my new Don Carlos. Trying to get rid of this stuff. Second bowl, Cowboy Coffee in a vintage Sasieni full bent rhodesian with dark roast coffee. Much better. May have to order a pound of this to cellar.

Mac Baren Vintage Syrian in a Design Berlin Royal Star.

Getting to the bottom of a tin I put in jar two years ago, this has gotten rather mellow and mild mannered, which is okay for a relaxing afternoon smoke. Some good concentration of flavor at the end of the bowl - toasted pine nuts and toasted sourdough crust from the Turkish. These days I prefer a fuller English style like RSteve's recipe, or C&D Stratfordshire, or Wilke's Sailor Jack. Have two more tins of Vintage Syrian in the cupboard - hope they don't lose all their umpff as they age!

Like Pavlov's dog, Ranger mentions Cowboy Coffee and I just gotta have some! Country Squire Cowboy Coffee in a MM Mark Twain (no filter). :D

Bru, I have two unopened tins of Vintage syrian dated 2017. Think I should age them a bit longer or pop them and go for it?

Guess Pavlov was right. Cowboy Coffee in a vintage Sav Roma straight billiard. Shoulda had coffee on the side instead of sherry but don't want to stay up all night. Still good.

That's a good question. Mine may have mellowed faster having been in a jar that I've opened time and again, unopened tins probably aging much slower. I'd be curious to hear feedback from any body else because I have two tins as well.
