I saw on CBS Sunday Morning where George Clooney cuts his own hair with that gadget where the clippers are hooked up to a vacuum cleaner hose. It's called a Flowbee. :)

I have SWMBO cut my hair. We have Wahl clippers. Don't use a guard.

After seeing how many of you cut your own hair I should give it a try. Good thread!

An acquaintance of mine picked up a Flowbee at Goodwill for $5, unused and still in original box. He said he'd been looking for one for years.

I use a Wahl cordless with 1/2 inch guide. It gives a cut that as a kid was called a wiffle.
Is it called a wiffle because it makes your head look like a ball? Get it, wiffle ball. :D

Yeah, yeah, I know. I shouldn't quit my day job but I do crack myself up!

Been cutting my own hair for over ten years. After I retired in 2009 and didn't have to worry so much about grooming, I just let it grow untill it's over my collar and then trim the back with a pair of scissors. Kind of a Zeb McCahan look, lol.

After a brief but intense research process I picked the Oster Fast Feed clipper. Not cheap, but nothing of good quality is anymore.

What's your review of this trimmer now that you've had it a while? I dropped my old Oster and cracked the housing. As I used it for a short time, the crack got longer and longer. Repaired it with JB Weld, but I haven't needed to use it since. I'm in the market for a backup. I see you can get these Fast Feeds for around $50. That price doesn't offend my senses. What do you think?

Excellent in every way. I added ceramic blades. Plus a good set of magnetic guards. Oiled before and after cutting, like they say to do, it works like a champ. Of course it’s all I’ve ever used…so…about once a month is all I’ve done. Super light use. But it’s a good cutter for me.

I haven't paid for a haircut since the 70s.
When I had a full head of hair my wife cut it.
When it got thin, I started buzzing it.
When a bald spot appeared, I started shaving.
If I had a choice, I'd rather the rest of it fell out rather than grow back.
