Good morning everybody. Starting this chilly day with my goto pinch of joy by plugging a Falcon fitted with an Apple briar bowl, with some awesome Hobbit Weed. Absolutely freezing still in old blighty, with even more snow on the way. Could be a White Christmas after all 😊
Have a great day my friends

My next smoke of today is some Condor plugged into a rusticated Savinelli Gaius 141. Waiting while Mrs Z percolates some Jack Daniels Coffee, although I'm mainly a tea drinker, I do like the occasional coffee or two, and I do love this Jack Daniels.

Good morning gents. Only time for one bowl this am so it's my go to Urban Cowboy in the huge Don Carlos bent dublin with Costa Rican coffee. Birdies swarming on all 3 feeders. Know how you feel Zippo. Down to 16 last night, 24 on the patio this morning. Snow finally melted from 2 days ago. Don't know if we will get more before Christmas. Gotta go check on the boys later and make sure they kept their blankets on. Don't know how I ever got by in MSP when temps were below zero. Of course I was a lot younger then. Lol.

Close to finishing this bowl of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

Enjoyed a tasty cinnamon raisin French toast lunch with a sliced golden delicious apple on the side. I've almost a third of a bowl left of year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Gold Star Panama, neat, is my drink. I'm going to miss this coffee when the bag is finished.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, wild caught catfish and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've a third of a bowl left of year 2014 Astley’s No. 109 Medium Flake in a straight black 1963 Dunhill LB Shell 4S billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

For a long afternoon smoke, I filled my large Ferndown with St. Bruno Flake. A nice medium strength, slightly aromatic tobacco and a regular favourite. The Ferndown pipe is English and hand made; being somewhat heavier with more substantial body than most – very high quality. After my second lighting. I settled back and thought back on my boyhood in England, where I would visit my pipe smoking grandfather, who was severely wounded in WW1. He was usually found in the Duke of York or The Mitre which were two pubs facing each other across a corner. I would go to the side door and peek inside looking for him though the cloud of tobacco smoke among the crowd of men. One of his friends would see me and let him know I was there. After chatting with me at the side door, he would take my hand and press two shillings into to it.

Both pubs have long disappeared along with the breed of men that patronized them.

Constable Higgins reads his notes to Inspector, changes the sheet of paper to another page but it looked empty to me, then after few seconds he returns to previous page which clearly was empty, so what he was reading? He just knew from before what to say, a directors mistake.

I am smoking Charatan No. 27, double Greek coffee plus cool water beside me.

Good morning everyone. Up early this morning. Still dark out, just a glimmer of sun on the horizon. A very nippy 22 on the patio. But not too bad with the heater going and heated throw. This morning it's CS Figgy Pudding in a Pete system B42 smooth bent apple. Hot mug of coffee aside. Going to be a chilly riding lesson for wifey today. Only 30 at 10. But she loves it and won't cancel. Too bad snow is gone, we could hitch up Kalahi and go riding in a one horse open sleigh, lol.
