Hello all. I have a fair grouping of Falcon pipes. I am noticing that some are having trouble seating them selves. something is up with the threads. I have taken a tooth pick and tried leaning the metal thread of the pipe stem and the wooden threads of the bowls.

any advice or a link to an article addressing this? thanks in advance.

I just place the bowl on mine and turn it gently counter clockwise till the bowl drops into the threads where it needs to be and then turn clockwise. This way I give the bowl threads the best chance to start without damaging the threads.

I've also bought old Falcon bowls and have needed to use washers of the right size to fit the bottom of the bowl to help it along as the original spacers die.

I use plumbing washers, not metal ones... And I can't remember what size off the top of my head.
