What a bummer. I know there are many views on this, but I really dislike small pipes. They feel like toys. I like big, substantial hunks of briar that have a good heft in my hand and double as jaw dumbbells so I get a good face workout while I smoke.

Meanwhile, smoking another bowl of Carter Hall, which has apparently become my go-to smoke. I read reviews saying that this new version is dogwater compared to the old one. If that's the case, they must have been making a rock solid product in the past, because this new stuff is alright with me.
This was listed as a "medium" sized pipe and the dimensions provided were all short. The walls were like barely a 1/4". I can handle an average sized pipe especially a Sasieni or Comoy, but this was smaller than any pipe I currently own. Yep, felt like a toy

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm passing the half way mark on this bowl of year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

A third of the way through this bowl of Pfeifen Huber Virginia Golden Flake in a 1938 smooth straight brown patent Dunhill R 115 bowling ball apple with a tapered cumberland stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Good morning,
Smoking a Neerup, Large bent brandy with Lane LL-7 and a k-cup, cloudy, windy day here, but at least the rain has stopped.
I tried to have a reasonable talk with my wife about the bathroom renovation last night,it surely didn`t go well and until she is ready to compromise-nothing will be done! It makes no sense to me to replace things that were replaced less than 2 years ago.

Good morning everyone. Starting my day with Hobbits Weed in the Don Carlos bent brandy and a mug of CR coffee. Beautiful sunrise over the mountains again this morning. We also have great sunsets on occasion. Top photo is last night, 2nd this morning. PS, Zippo, found you a companion horse to go along with Kalahi. This one you can probably take to the local pub with you, lol.

25° and overcast. Stanwell with new 507-C. A very good smoke. 7.5/10

Did they change the thickness of 507-C? Someone sent me a sample a couple months ago. I'm not sure how old it was or if it had any age on it, but they were almost twice as thick as this new order.

After a breakfast of French Crepes and a large pot of English Breakfast tea I headed to the barn to perform the usual chores. While the goats need a hoof trim, they will have to wait. I have now charged my Peterson with Capstan Navy Flake and going to the garden & orchard and enjoy the brilliant sun & snow capped mountains. So far,not a bad day.
