Wondering if anyone has, or has made, an interesting depository for used blades. Been looking at some; not sure if I'm into the ceramic barber pole ones, but maybe. Suppose I could make my own out of most anything but just interested in what other may be using.

I use a ground pepper tin. The middle opening is intended for a spoon, and it has a plastic flap you can clip closed. Blades easily drop in there, and then I shake it a little until they're all laying flat on the bottom. If I cared about aesthetics, I could paint it or take it down to the gold-colored sheet metal.

I've been thinking of getting myself something like that too. I'm using a little cardboard box and just drop the blades through a slit in the top. I can just toss the whole box out. Not fancy, but does the trick.

I scored my Fat Boy recently (which I really like, by the way - best razor I've ever owned); around here the only available blades in double edge seem to be house brands which I've been using but I wanted some good blades for it. Ordered some Silver Blues on Amazon which came individually wrapped, so I found this neat little vintage dispenser for them, and this vintage Listerine blade bank; they made several; this one is a frog. Now to put a new knot in my old Crabtree & Evelyn brush (which it's needed for a long time) and I'm good to go!
