Really nice review. I've been experiencing a newfound craving for English blends and Billy is one I've had my eye on for a while.

I have wondering this myself. I've been meaning to get a tobacco in both styles (flake and ribbon, or in the case of GL Pease's Jacknife Plug, plug and ribbon) and try them both to detect any differences. That being said, I haven't gotten around to it, so if anyone else has, speak and be heard.

Balkan Flake in a Molina Billiard on this wonder 50 degree afternoon.

My only experience with Balkan Flake has been with a sample that was aged for a year. I found it to be both extremely smooth and flavorful, with the Virginia and Latakia having equal ground. But again, aged a year, so it was probably better off than your everyday tin.
