Not in my experience. Just fill it with a light hand. I have several large pipes and they do not gurgle as long as i do not fill them tight. I smoke rather dry tobacco and mainly straight pipes. Are your pipes bent and you feed them with rather wet tobacco?.
oftenly that happens because there is a crack on the shank. sometimes a repair with a band solve the problem.
Check the price for the repair and the price of your used pipe to see if it is worth to take the chance. Not always it is worth unless it is a special pipe for you. good luck.
yes , the first one with paper label is from orlik. the one at the bottom was from petersen and older than the first one. both of them made in denmark. however , none of them are from cope's who where made in england. i recall and quote someone who said : "denmark , the place where englisn...
it depends what you are looking for. you can get a low cost good blend in the american english category by mixing one pouch of 5 brothers and 1 pouch of super value english.

yes , it has happen to me. i also live in a very humid place. however , when i clean the bowl with paper towel , the cake is not removed. just a humid gunk is removed wich helps the cake to remain at the thickness i prefer (wich is very thin).

probably the reason why i smoke a pipe is latakia. if it ever happens to me that i do not like it anymore...then i will smoke cigars only. it never happened in over 40 years of smoking so it is very unlikely that it happens. i only smoke one or two pipes a day.
the first time i heard about that was in the ephemeris where rick esserman mentioned that suggestion several times. that was long before the internet. he said that he got the idea from his friend piazza.
i understand the idea is much more older , from the time of drucquers and old dunhills, as...
today we have a wide choice of tobacco to choose from. different styles , taste and octane. why would you force yourself to like something that you really do not feel comfortable with?. my suggestion , forget the ropes and continue with 3play or whatever you enjoy.
i have a similar barling. i understand that it is the last pretransition year. mine smokes like my others pretransition but it is much more heavy. i was told some time ago that the arched logo and the 4 digit number correspond to 1962 and it is still considered as pre even with the 4 digit...
very accurate spanish quote from don quixote. "when you see your neighbor's beard shave"... indeed it is happening. it begins with the regulations in usa and the rest of the world assume a "monkey see monkey do" scenario. unfortunenatley for europe..."a remojar las barbas" while shaving usa...
